It's “New Year—new me” season, so what better way to kick off a new year with a home refresh? We are bringing you inspiring ways to refresh your space.
First things first: the clear out
It's the perfect time to cleanse and get rid of things. When you declutter or rearrange an area in your home, especially after the festive season, the space will instantly have a new feel. Remember, take it one room at a time and take breaks when you need to.
Don’t be frugal when it comes to decluttering, if you don’t truly love something, donate it and give it a second chance to find a new home or recycle it. You can also make a “maybe” pile for the things you’re unsure about and revisit them in a week or so to see if your thoughts changed. It’ll feel good once you’re done and it's true what they say—tidy home, tidy mind!
Once you’ve finished the clear out, sage your space to remove negative energy or if you prefer, light your favourite candle—we recommend a soy based candle as they emit less carbon dioxide and fewer toxins into the air.
Kitchen
Kickstart your kitchen reorganisation progress: start with finding jars or baskets that work for your space, they are a great way to add an aesthetically pleasing touch to your kitchen, plus they are functional. Don't sleep on labelling, it will help you easily find what you are looking for whilst adding a sumptuous feeling.
Update the everyday essentials. Add a sleek hand wash that you can refill (everyone does it and it's cost effective!), kitchen trays, cookbooks etc.
To finish, treat yourself to a bouquet or fresh produce to put on display. Flowers and fruit make a perfect centrepiece.
Living room and bedroom
Rearrange your coffee table, bookshelf or bedside table. It’s a way to give your interior a new vibe. Even something as simple as rearranging your accessories can make all the difference. If you want to add a few new touches, we have got you covered—new arrivals.
Give your living space a mini-makeover: greenery is a great way to add living energy to your room or add a mirror to create depth in a subtle way. Paint an accent wall, it’ll be a fun DIY activity and can be inexpensive if you do it yourself. For those who don't like the idea of a new colour, repaint with your existing colour to freshen up the room.
Bathroom
All it takes is a few additions or decor swaps to make your bathroom feel new and exciting, whether it's your shower curtain or toilet roll holder.
Use your beauty products as decoration. Not only will they be in a convenient place for you to use in your routine, you can reduce the visual noise by styling them on a tray or storing them in jars or baskets on your vanity.
